Film & TV

An alumnus of the Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Purcell School, Alexis Ffrench is one of the most distinctive classical composers of film today. Known for his emotive music ‘of heart-aching beauty’, he has established his own unique brand of ‘classical soul’.

Recent film score work includes ‘Minimata’ (directed by Andrew Levitas), ‘The House Where The Mermaid Sleeps (directed by Yuki Tsutsumi) and ‘Plan Z’ (directed by Stuart Brennan); earning Ffrench widespread acclaim for the intensity and poignant musical characterisations that he brings to the big screen. His original commission music has also been used to great effect in global advertising campaigns; most recently a partnership for SKODA alongside luminaries such as Paloma Faith. Previous major advertising campaigns include Barclaycard and Mortlach Whisky.
